FAIRS AND FESTIVALS

In addition to the festivities that are celebrated in all the towns , in Boyaca are very traditional and very cultural events , which are known nationally and internationally.

INTERNATIONAL CULTURE FESTIVAL

It is a cultural event celebrated annually in the city of Tunja , in the months of October and November.

In this festival, you can attend different shows of theater , dance , music, storytelling , films and visual arts , located in various venues throughout the city.

BOLIVARIAN CULTURE  WEEK

This event held in the city of Duitama,and  is very similar to the International Culture Festival of Tunja.
In this event, you can enjoy the differents shows of music, dance, theater, film, and visual arts ,  presented by the  national and international artists.
These artists are from Latin American countries , and in some occasions are also invited European countries.

MUSICAL BANDS NATIONAL COMPETITION

It is the main band competition in the country, celebrate in Paipa.Here the different groups come together to showcase their talents and achieve the title as the best band in Colombia. The competition has four categories : 
Youth Class 
Senior Class
Popular Bands
Special Bands
University and professional Bands.

If you like the music or the holidays, this is the place and the perfect time to travel, meet Boyacá.

KITE FESTIVAL (VILLA DE LEYVA)

This event is held in the month of August, when the winds are very strong in this part of the country.

Kites of all types , sizes , colors and shapes cover the sky of this town , becoming unimaginable spectacle.

People around the world gather in this place to kite competition , which is divided into various categories:

Night flight

Giant Kites 

Flight team, among others.

This event is an excellent plan to travel to Boyaca and know all its wonders.
