CARRANGA

The carranga,is a music genre of the Andina region, this musical genre whose beginnings in the seventies, emerging from the hand of the veterinarian named: Jorge Velosa.

This musicis characterized by the playfulness  of the verses, also you can find in the lyrics of the songs ,phrases with double intent, and   environmental awareness messages.

The carranga is a representation of rural daily life of the region. His lyrics tell anecdotes and experiences. One type of regional music heard throughout the country and the world.

The carranga is interpreted : guitar, tiple , fife and guacharaca , and of course, human voices divided into lead and background vocals.

Jorge Luis Velosa is the co-originator of the genre.
This artist is one who has taken the international stage carranga across America and parts of Europe.
